1. Parties and Acceptance
This Agreement is between the individual using VMATIC Shield (“you” or “user”) and Vmatic Global Technologies Private Limited (“Vmatic”). VMATIC Shield is powered and developed by Vmatic. By selecting an acceptance control, creating an account where applicable, or using the app where acceptance is legally effective, you acknowledge that you have read the applicable terms and privacy notices. Where affirmative acceptance is required, passive use alone will not replace that requirement.
2. Documents That Form Part of the Agreement
This Agreement should be read with the Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, User Data Deletion Policy, Data Protection Policy, User Data Consent and Security Policy, and Cyber Security Compliance and General Information Policy. If documents conflict, applicable law prevails; any enterprise contract may govern the relevant institutional deployment to the extent agreed and legally permitted.
3. Nature of the App
VMATIC Shield provides available digital-safety information, device and application risk indicators, contextual alerts and related tools. Features may change over time and can vary by device, Android version, permission state and service configuration. The app supports informed decisions; it does not guarantee that all threats will be detected or prevented.
4. User Duties
You agree to use the app lawfully, keep your device reasonably secure, review notices, grant only permissions you understand, and not use the app to stalk, surveil, harass or unlawfully collect data about another person. You must not interfere with service security, reverse engineer the software except where such restriction is prohibited by law, or use the app to commit fraud or other unlawful acts.
5. User Consent and Permission Choices
Consent and permission requests must be presented separately where required. You may refuse optional permissions or withdraw them through available app controls or Android Settings. Some features may then be limited. Vmatic will not treat a permission as unlimited authorisation to access data unrelated to the stated feature.
6. Risk Information and User Decisions
Risk scores, alerts and recommendations are based on available signals and may be incomplete or mistaken. You remain responsible for independently verifying requests for money, credentials, software installation or remote access. Do not rely on an app alert as the sole basis for a financial, legal or emergency decision.
7. Availability, Updates and Termination
Vmatic may update, suspend or discontinue features for security, maintenance, legal or product reasons. You may stop using the app at any time. App deletion, account deletion, and deletion of server-side or enterprise records are different actions and are handled according to the applicable deletion policy and law.
8. Privacy, Intellectual Property and Liability
Vmatic will handle information as described in the applicable privacy notices and policies. The app and related intellectual property remain owned by or licensed to Vmatic. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an availability basis and Vmatic does not warrant uninterrupted operation or complete detection. Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Changes, Governing Law and Contact
Material changes may be presented for renewed acceptance where required. The Agreement is governed by Indian law, subject to mandatory law and competent jurisdiction. For assistance, contact business@vmatic.in with the subject “VMATIC Shield User Agreement”.
